My adaptability and teamwork skills are not only rooted in my ability to solve problems but also in my deep appreciation for diversity and understanding of individual needs. As I navigate through various professional challenges, I am constantly reminded of the richness that comes from working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, each bringing their unique perspectives and experiences to the table. In every team environment, I make it a priority to create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and heard. I recognize that each team member has their own set of strengths, weaknesses, and preferences, and I strive to understand and accommodate these individual needs to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration.

My communication skills are average to good at best. I communicate a lot better through writing than I do in person, which is a skill I must work on to be successful in the IT industry. I will need to practice being concise, straight to the point and not use metaphors as my only explanation tool. To improve this area, I must try to build my confidence by attending networking events, informational seminars/webinars and actually attempting to communicate to people (ideally strangers) via talking. I am naturally shy and introverted, but I must overcome this with small steps to improve my confidence and ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders and staff alike. 

Unfortunately, my time management skills could use improvement as I find I’m too much of a perfectionist (border-line OCD). In trying to achieve perfection, I often deviate from the original task assigned or I take a little longer than average to complete tasks. In rare environments this could be encouraged however in the fast-moving world of IT, every solution is time-critical and thus some factors must be navigated both effectively and efficiently with time prioritisation first and foremost in mind.  To address this, I will implement time management techniques such as prioritising tasks and work loads, utilising time-productive tools like calendars and task managers to better organise my workload and meet deadlines effectively.
